To Kindergarten We Go...............

Addison
Graduation Day 5/27/2011

Last Friday, at the tender age of 5, my granddaughter graduated from Monticello United Methodist Church Weekday School.  This is her third year there and it has been a blessing each year.  She has enjoyed every day of it.  I can't even count the things she has learned -  songs, prayers, days of the week, months of the year, numbers, abc's, colors, to write her name, they even taught the children how to play handbells. I could go on and on about the things Addison had learned and she is ready and excited about starting kindergarten.

I think there were 13 or so children in the graduating class.  Many of these children have been classmates with Addison all three years.  For their end of school party, the teachers set up several pools outside of the church, with a sprinkler in the middle.  Who says you need a big fancy pool to have fun??  They ran from pool to pool and through the sprinklers - and had a blast.

After drying off and eating pizza, they did a program for us.  They sang a few songs and this is the part that amazed me  - These 5 year old children said the Lord's Prayer.  From beginning to end. Every word of it. What an accomplishment. Congratulations Addison, you are my sunshine.
